Gustavo Ghianda
Gustavo Ghianda (Buenos Aires, 1984) is a contemporary visual artist and photographer whose work explores the image as a tool for expression and experimentation. Born in Buenos Aires, he currently resides in London, having previously lived in Lima and Barcelona, experiences that have shaped his artistic vision.
Largely self-taught, Ghianda supplemented his learning with studies in photography and imaging at institutions such as Motivarte, the Asociación de Reporteros Gráficos de la República Argentina, the Instituto Universitario Nacional del Arte, and the Centre Cívic Pati Llimona in Barcelona.
His interest in photography began at age 23, when he casually acquired a camera. That chance encounter quickly turned into a passion and the discovery of a powerful medium to channel his creativity.
In 2010, he was selected in the photography contest “¿Sin Sentido?”, organized by the Argentine Association of Art Galleries, a recognition that marked a milestone in his career. Since then, he has participated in various exhibitions in Buenos Aires and continues to develop an ever-evolving body of work characterized by his aesthetic and conceptual search.
