Cristina Moroño

Cristina Moroño (Madrid, 1973) is a renowned contemporary visual artist whose work is characterized by constant experimentation and the fusion of techniques. Her practice combines photography, printmaking, etching, collage, and papermaking, moving between the figurative and the abstract to reflect the passage of time and the transience of life.

Trained at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she specialized in printmaking and earned a Master of Fine Arts with honors, Moroño has developed a highly international career. In 2003 she moved to New York, and since 2016 she has resided in Hong Kong, where she continues to create and exhibit her work.

Cristina Moroño's works are part of international public and private collections, such as the National Library of Spain, the Museum of the City of Madrid, the FRIDE Foundation, the Joan Miró Foundation, the Gorbachev Foundation of North America, and the Macy's Art Collection in New York.

Her work has been widely exhibited in Europe, New York, and Hong Kong, establishing her as an internationally relevant artist in the field of visual arts.
