Josep Moscardó

Josep Moscardó, born in Barcelona in 1953, is a renowned Catalan painter, sculptor, and printmaker whose work naturally captures the beauty of everyday life. Trained at the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona, he has developed an unmistakable visual language, marked by light, color, and a deeply Mediterranean sensibility.

His painting is characterized by a vibrant palette of whites, blues, and warm tones that convey luminosity in both daytime and nighttime scenes. The compositions often depict urban landscapes, figures, and settings inspired by his surroundings and travels, always with an optimistic and intimate vision.

In the field of sculpture, Moscardó stands out for his restless and prolific spirit. His pieces are built from the synthesis of forms and the collage of found objects, organized with a playful and creative sense. Additionally, he has cultivated original graphic work for decades, maintaining a close relationship between 1998 and 2016 with La Palmera Taller d’Art, specialized in artistic serigraphy.

He has exhibited regularly in cities such as Barcelona, Sant Cugat, Terrassa, and Blanes. His international projection includes solo exhibitions in the United States and participation in group shows in the United Kingdom, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, Switzerland, and other countries, consolidating his presence on the global art scene.

The work of Josep Moscardó, luminous and vital, reflects a direct connection with Mediterranean culture and a constant commitment to plastic exploration.
